You Mean I Need To Shave My Legs??

When I openly admitted that I had miserably failed at exercising since becoming a mother you all were much too kind in encouraging me to start again. I seriously expected (and deserved) someone to tell me that I needed to suck it up, grow up, get off my lazy derriere and do SOMETHING, ANYTHING!! Well, your gentle push actually had a great effect. I actually thought a lot about you wonderful readers who told me I needed to exercise for myself and for my daughter. To you wonderful cysters and fibros who commented in encouragement,  THANK YOU!

I started swimming again on Thursday. I was nervous about getting in the pool again, I was nervous I wouldn't be able to even finish a lap, I was nervous I would cough up a lung right into the pool water, I was nervous to leave my baby. Well, I did finish a lap, several actually, I did not hack out a lung, and I even enjoyed a little me time to think while doing laps.

Every time I try to make an excuse not to go I tell myself that I am doing it because I want to see my little Kay bug graduate from college!

  1. This is great way to go IH!!! Are you swimming indoors? I thought about taking this up but my biggest issue is the smell of the lovely chlorine. Does this impact you? As I can remember when I would swim indoors the chlorine really really bothered me. I coughed and coughed the following day.

The last sentence is AWESOME!!! I really need to kick myself in the butt and get going on some much needed exercise in my life.

  2. You are one of my readers that wrote me and encouraged me to start exercising again so THANK YOU! Yes, I am in an indoor pool, but for some reason the chlorine doesn't bother me. I secretly like the smell of it too which I know is weird :p

I am sure as a working father it is hard to think about spending any extra time away from your family, but it will add years to your life and Alayna will appreciate those extra years when she is older!

  3. I am so glad to hear that I had an impact on you and encouraged you to get in that pool :)

It is very hard for me IH to think about spending time away from my family but I agree with you 100000% that it will add years to my life and both Alayna and Maria will appreciate it. I just need to kick myself really hard to get moving that is my biggest issue!!!

    1. I completely understand how hard it is. It took me 7 months to get myself to leave Kaylee and go to the gym!
